Rugby

About a week ago I went up to Boulder to see BYU play CU in rugby. Man that is a violent game. I am not really sure about the rules but it was fun to watch.

Ch-Ch-Ch-Chia (part 2)

So I was a little delayed in planting my chia pet. You have to water the chia everyday. I planted it on Monday and then on Tuesday my sister reminded me that we were going to be about of town for 5 days. I had two choices, one to replant or two to submerge my chia in a pot of water and hope for the best. I submerged my chia and after a week it started to grow. So here are my newest pictures.

If you look close you can see that my chia has a hairy mole. I love it.

My New Piano

Right after Christmas I bought a piano. I know what you are thinking. "Cat, you don't know how to play anything except baby elephant walk." Well that is mostly true but I still enjoy playing. Connie helped me pick out some music that I would be able to play. I try to play everyday. I will try to record something soon and post that.

Don't Mess with Texas

For President's Weekend Carol, Pauline, Jen and I decided to visit Connie in Austin. We did a lot of shopping, eating, and laughing. The first day we were there Connie told us about eyebrow threading as a replacement to waxing. It is done using some sewing thread. We all wanted to try it. I got Carol's on video. It is so hard to explain so i thought it would be easier to understand by watching it.

Connie took us to get some BBQ at the Salt Lick. It is out in the middle of no where and totally classic. They consider potatoes salad and coleslaw vegetables.

It is BYOB. People bring their own beer in coolers or buckets. We ate a lot of meat and Pauline even got "meat sweats". Believe me, it isn't good.
